Why are some people such haters?

So someone stuck an exacto blade under my brand new tire today. I rode to lunch and when I walked out of the restaurant, I saw my tire looked low and sure enough it was flat. So I go put air in it thinking it's gotta be the valve stem, but I hear it leaking so I start turning over the tire and sure enough its got something in it, i pulled it out and sure enough its a f@#@ing exacto knife blade! So I plugged it to get home and now I gotta get a new tire! I'm so ! How save is a patch on a bike tire?

sorry to hear about that, especially with a new tire. You may want to see if the place you ate at has a camera that may help give a clue.

People do that all the time. I think it's mainly because they cannot have those things so they have to ruin everyone elses. When I was younger we parked my friends new 3000GT at Starbucks and came back to find fast food thrown all over it; another time someone asked to sit in my car I said sure while he asked about the mods it had on it which I answered enthusiastically then he got out slammed the out of my door and said "some people have too much money", I can go on and on about other encounters...

The other one I hear people talk about all the time is that their parents bought it for him/her. Who gives a flying ? Why does it bother people so much? I've had friends/acquaintances whose parents bought them Z06s, porsches, etc. Didn't change my perspective about them.

Anyway in the end those asshats are playing with your life with what they did. I'm glad you found it and it didn't suffer a catastrophic failure.

How do you know you were sabotaged? I ran over a razor blade in my truck one night after having a flat on my car. I didn't make it 2 blocks before it was flat. It happens.

a patch is good imo. i've done it on more than one tire with out issues and even did a track day on a patched tire

plugged my tire on the sportster a month ago or so and it's still holding after several hundred miles. was told it'll be fine for the life of the tire.

Depending on where the cut on he tire is located, the patch is OK. Wouldn't do a track day on one but my don't hang out my shorts like daveC's.

So if you found a nail or screw in your car tire, would you think someone stuck that under there too? Hahahaha

don't hate. could be someone did or could be it got picked up from the road. I've seen strange in tires.

I had a rock go through my car tire once and was rattling around inside it making all kinds of noise, lol.

I pulled a big , brass truck wheel valve stem out of my cars tire the other day... what are the odds of that and how bizzare. The device that allows air into a tire was letting the air out....

I hope you didn't just let him walk away. If you did you're a better man than I am.

Had an acorn go through a brand new tire once a block from the tire shop. They replaced it free. Figured if it was an acorn it HAD to be a defective tire.
Usually it's kids that do that kinda . Put stuff under tires, key cars, super glue locks . .. You don't pass and Exacto plant on your way home do you?

I was flabberghasted...took a couple seconds to recover. I did let him walk away, but I looked over to his girlfriend and asked her if she wanted to take a ride with me in a nice car

The blade was straight up in the tire, pointy side first, it could have been on the road, but the way it was in the tire makes more sense to have been set under the tire rather than a random event.
