Motorcycle Tire Question

Was wondering if someone can shed some light on this question. I have strip on the back tire right down the middle. Was wondering if this is bad? The tire is not that old maybe 3 months but I ride daily.. I noticed the other day the tire pressure was low and filled it up now I have a strip as big as the width of duct tape down the middle (all the way around).... Is this bad?

Thanks for all your help...

does it look like wires? or anything like thisdsc00141web

if so, you just wasted your tire by not checking the pressure soon enough. pressure = very important on a motorcycle

It looks like you just rode through some dust. Get a wet rag and rub it down then see what it looks like. Also you don't need 40psi in that tire!

You are fine, but you need to lear how to use the rest of the tire!

This happens a lot when you log a ton of miles on the highway or when you arent leaning the bike enough in the turns.

I don't see any need to go over 35 in this heat. When it gets hot the pressure is going to rise. Then you'll be wearing an even small patch down the middle.
