New Member! Weird question :)

Ok fellas, I own a 2005 ninja 636. It's the BEST thing i've ever owned in my life, but it is now giving me something of a bother. Ever so often (like 50% of the time) i'll be riding along and BAM! the bike hesitates/ surges/ loses power, and i don't know why! I'm at 28k miles, i have a slipon akra exhaust and a pc3 usb. Now I have noticed this weird thing happens between 6k and 8k rpm, but it can happen in any gear! And it does NOT always happen. when it does happen the bike will act like my old cavalier did when i hit the redline. It'll the whole thing and make me lunge forward! And if I hold the throttle it'll just keep bucking like a wild bronco!!!! I HAVE to shift to make it go away. Like i said, only happens 50% of the time... but i have NO IDEA what could be causing it???? any ideas???? please help!

pure speculation but could be the pc3 map could be wrong because valves or sensors are out of adjustment. I am not a bike mechanic by any means.

happend on my gsxr, i would try that first, symptoms sound identical to what my bike was doing. you can get a stiffer spring or bypass the kickstand switch

Try tightening the battery connections. a loose connection can cause this.

I had a similar problem with my 07 gsxr 600 and it ended up being the kickstand sensor
