GEAR for SMALL people??

Hi everyone..

Im having trouble finding gear that fits me.. Im growing increasingly frustrated.. and I hate riding my bike without a good jacket with armor to protect me..

Im 5'7-5'8 125-130lbs

So Im a smaller guy.. Ive been to cycle gear, and I everything I try on seems to be too big.
Im pretty slender.

Anyone have any advice?

special order everything. i'm in the same boat as you.

most brands will carry jackets and suits as small as XS or 36. Most of the shops here (including site sponsors) can receive the sizes you need.

I have an Alpinestar Bionic Sp Vest, size small or medium (I forget which) that I'd be willing to part with. Bought it for track days but only used it once. Shoot me a PM if you'd like to check it out.

I love the Dianese stuff, but that I had a hard time finding in my size. Ordering it in took forever so I cancelled my order. When I was in Italy, I was going to get a suit, but it cost even more there.

My order was about 4 years ago.

I didnt know small guys have problems finding gear that fits. As a big guy, I always assumed that was just an issue for us

Anyway, have you considered "custom" sized gear? Pilot Leathers makes custom 1pc leathers but they also make custom pants and jackets. Nothing beats fitment made just for you

http://pilotleathers.com/jackets.html

SCRC John can assist you with your order...he's a distributor for Pilot Leathers

Same height and weight here.

Small tourmaster (draft air) was HUGE. Being mesh/textile, it flaps around quite a bit.

XS Scorpion (burnout) textile jacket is the best fit I've found so far. Still doesn't fit "tight", actually fits fine with the inner liner.

XS Joe Rocket (Santa Fe) mesh/leather jacket is larger than the scorpion, but fits properly enough to hold armor in place.

Still want to get some type of armor to wear under my jacket, but haven't looked into it yet.

I didn't find anything in stock at any store. Small was hard enough to find, much less XS, which many jackets don't even come in to begin with. You'll probably have to look at stores, and spend some time looking at catalogs or websites to see which jackets are available in XS.

Cycle Gear suggested womens stuff or youth sizes. The women's jackets either definitely LOOKED like womens, or simply fit awkward. Waist line was way too high. I couldn't find youth sizes in stock anywhere, and any stuff I found online was touring cut.
