Bambi ran out on front of me last night!

I was headed home around 8PM last night on the bike. There's a heavily wooded 4 lane divided road that I have to go down to get to my house (Northpark Drive). I was probably doing around 60mph and wouldn't you know - the biggest buck I've ever seen runs across the road. I got on the brakes hard and was able to slow down without hitting him.

Makes you think .... if I would've been there just two seconds earlier I would have been toast!

My dad hit a bull in his car. It had already been hit by a ford ranger at aroun 60 mph. The ranger was totaled and the bull was just staggering around in the middle of the road.

I had a neighbor that hit a bull in west Texas at hiway speed, the bull came over hood, thru wind shield and kilt him daid.
And my wife was driving in western New York and was hit by a deer. She was cruisin along and it busted up outta the grass and ran into the passenger door. It got up, shook it's head and ran off. Kinda weird huh?

One night when I was 18 or 19 I hit a deer on highway 39, in Hunt texas, in my explorer. I was doing around 110 and that thing just exploded. The next day there were pieces hanging from the cedar trees on the side of the road. You wouldn't believe how minimal the damage was to the car.

Another lady in my fam hit a buzzard as it took off from eating carrion. It came through the windshield and puked like a gallon of nastiness all over them.

someone allegedly shot the bull that my dad hit. Then allegedly shot it 9 more times. Apparently even dying bulls are hard to put down with 9mm.

A few years back I was driving to Kingland to meet some off-road buddies on the Llano. I took 281 all the way down (because I hate I-35) and, I kid you not, I counted 63 deer carcases on the sides of the road. I was like

Well, a 9mm is fairly lightweight on a man (IMO) for a bull it would seem like a BB gun. I know the opinion above is controversial to some gun enthusiasts... but thats partly why I said it (hee hee).

I read that in Pennsylvania they kill more deer with cars than guns during deer season. I drove through Penn. and I saw a dead deer like every mile for 50 miles or more. It was an eyeopener and I was glad it was daytime.

yeah, bulls were not the envisioned target for that handgun. It was more a matter of best (and only) tool on hand for the job.

I would have liked to have been carrying a pistol once when I ran over a great big raccoon in kerrville. It was dying slowly and painfully, so I hit it again with the truck. Don't know if that sound inhumane-but only well meant.
