I'll have to try the shoe trick on my wife when I add another one to the stable. She has over 75 pairs last time I counted.

I told my wife before i married her that she better expect to have a garage full of bikes/ toys and if she has a problem with that, then she needs to find someone else.

So far so good and i've got 6 bikes in my garage at the moment. Even though they are just 50s... still.

she gets say so in the house you get it in the garage. if you are not hurting financially then she has no position to complain about 1, 2 or 20 bikes in the garage.

I don't think the right idea is to argue about shoes or anything cause frankly you don't care if she has 75 pairs of shoes.. You would only bring that up to get her off your back, and that isn't a good idea long term. The better choice is to figure out why she is complaining about the bikes - I.E. what exactly she doesn't like about it... (tied up money, takes time away from her, clutters the garage, smells like gas, none of them are pink...) and then resolve that issue.

I'd be if my wife had 75 pairs of shoes. I agree with the rest though.

I find that if you are happy , your wrong. I have a new one in the garage the wife has not seen yet. Three days in the dog house and I am up one motorcycle. You could have to many anything in the garage and they will complain.

Yeah - but you probably wouldn't wait to bring it up 'til after she started complaining about your motorcycles.
