If the day ever comes, I think I'll just make the rings myself.

Seriously folks...the size of the ring shouldn't matter, but some gals are just superficial b!tches.:BangHead:

For the record, I received a small ring (that I picked out myself) when I got married. Since then I've gotten 2 anniversary rings and a couple of birthday ones. Plus, with all of the cars, the scooter, and the motorcycle he bought me plus the guns, I think I've come out better in the long run. I'd rather spend the extra dough on vacations to tropical destinations than on something that sits on my hand.

It's worked for us for 10 years now

I agree Sassy! My husband picked our wedding/engagement set; I could have had a 999 Ducati with what he spent. But they are superb! Most the time the large ring sits in a safe just for special occasions, I've actually probably lost hair due to the fact Ill take the rings off while working on bikes, and forget where the I put them!
I would think I'd take the rings in question to the jewler where purchased, and see what you can trade them for that you may like yourself, or what other they may offer. Rings, I think are MARKED UP a g'zillion percent and not an investment except for the sakes of marriage and what they represent between to love birds!
good luck,
I do know that I wouldn't wear rings that were to be given to another woman. I'm special! lol

But I must admit, when we're out on the town and I have those EYE KNOCKING RINGS ON, I'm even mesmerized as to their beauty and significance! sigh

One more thought about returning to the orignial jewler from whence the rings came; maybe exchange for a watch, something you know may be able sell on Ebay or wherever~ My first almost marriage back eons ago failed, I kept my ring (he backed out), I took the rings to a shop and got a used electic guitar; still have it! Sadly the rings were about 600 and guitar was 299.00! lol The jeweler jumped on it, but I was happy!

a lot of big chain jewlery stores will give you like 100% of the money back if you are trading up on something more expensive, or at least a certain percentage back within a time frame... but I'm guessing if you had bought it from one of those stores you'd know it. If that was the case I'd say hold onto it you can wait till you find a nice girl and when its the right time trade it in to the jewlery store for one a little bit bigger and you'd just have to pay the difference...

but those stores usually charge a good bit more to start with too.
