Who will buy rings?

My fiance and I broke up back in June, and I still have her engagement ring. I have no use for it and I want to stop paying for it. I have been financing it since last December and I want to get rid of it. Does anyone know of any places that will buy rings for top dollar. NO SHOPS! I bought the ring from Robbins Bros. and they don't buy them back.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

TeXasGiXXer

I went to a jewelry buyer with mine and they don't really want the gold, they just want the stone. The shops actually suggested I bring it to the jeweler.

Depending on the value of the stone, I'd say you're better off selling it in a classified ad or on eBay. Bring it to a reputable jeweler for an appraisal and scan it to post with the ad.

I still haven't sold mine. Not sure why. Been eight years since the split.

Why don't you all just save it for the next one... it's not like they'll find out and you'll save oodles of money, I would.

All that romantic stuff is just hype that zales created to boost sales, diamonds last forever, so you should be able to just buy one, and carry it around your whole life =)

I'm more disturbed by women who do not burn the sheets/nighties/undies that they 'used' in a previous relationship than the jewelry they wore. *shivers*

bet you never thought of that one :P

That stuff went as soon as I packed my stuff to move out of state. That was the point of certainty.

Anyway - back to the jewelry - it's not necessarily the rock itself, but if you keep it at least have it reset for the next woman. The ring should have a style to it that matches the woman and how you feel about her. It's not all about the size.

Bravo to you for a clean break! =)

Ohyeah.. and theres nothing wrong with modifying the ring.. but to buy a whole new one seems wastefull to me (as a guy) I paid $1,500 for my engagement ring when I was 17, to me thats still a lot of money, and I would be more apt to spend $200 or so switching the diamonds up or whatever than shelling out that kind of money all over again because I was too stupid to keep the woman I had.

This is also a good line of thinking because if anything ever did happen, I would make a negative amount of money just trying to cover the child support for my herd. =)

I can't help it I'm fertile, I've been told I can impregnate a woman just by having them sit in a chair after I've gotten up.... Hey remember when I rode your 50 a couple weeks ago?
