Trailer..

Hey Guys,

I need a trailer for the 10/30 track day. The only problem is the guys i know that are willing to lend me their trailers have enclosed trailers! Which i can't tow with my car. I'm attaching a picture of my car - and hoping some one has a trailer low enough or one of those small single bike ones. If not that then any trailer would do that is light and doable with a Class 1 Hitch.

Please let me know, i'd like to pick it up as early as i can and test it once around the block. Many people can vouch for me, so i won't run away with it. And if i damage your trailer - don't worry i'll pay for the repairs.

Thanks in advance..

Yea, let me know.

Hey do you know the sign of the guy that offered me his 200 lbs trailer while we were eating at Orsak's? He was the guy wearing the Suzuki Racing leathers and was on a GSXR600. Josh? Was that his name? I forget his sign..

That's him. I saw the trailer today and I think it'll work fine on your car. He mentioned you needing it when I saw it in the garage. Are you doing 10/30 and 11/11?

On here he's Josh-something, but I can't remember the forum name exactly and I am too lazy to look it up. He posted over on thorn's thread if you want to find the name. (Sorry Josh...)

Yea i'll be doing both. 10/30 and the 11/11.

I'll be riding in level 2 both times, unless i know atleast 5 people in level 1 that i can ride with and play around with, critique, and be critiqued. Its more fun that way.

Moe,
My trailer should be back in town after the IBI. You are more than welcome to use it. It has a 2" Ball. Hans will have it on the IBI. You can meet up with him afterwards to get it on Sunday night.

Thanks for the offer Brian - so far i've already done two track days with your trailer (meaning towing), so i'm familiar with it. Its probably the best home made trailer i have ever seen

Do you know how much it's tounge weight and weight of the whole trailer might be? I just have a feeling it might be too big for my bike.

But i'll let you know if i need it.

Thank you soo much..

Sorry Moe, I never weighed it. I guess if I go to the drag strip I could weigh it. You could tie the bike on backwards so that the majority of the weight is directly over the trailer wheels. Oh, and if you tie down the bike, use at least 4 heavy duty straps. My friend lost his 4 wheeler on the freeway at 70mph. The straps broke and the majic trick of turning a 4wheeler into a bag-o-parts commenced.

U hauls rents a motorcycle trailer for $15/day, you ,might have to call around to find one.

i've towed it w/ the miata. so it should be ok w/ your car.

Just ask for someone to give your bike a lift up there. Usually, someone has a little extra room.

Since it's still street legal, I say ride it up there Friday night. You'll have time to prep it while we all gather/eat/meet/etc. since we're camping out.
