Funk-B-Gone?

How do you get funk out of a Leather Jacket? It says do not dry clean take to a leather specialist which I interpreted to mean "Bend over and spreadum"

There has got to be a better(cheaper) way to remove stank from a jacket.

Whats wierd, is, the jacket itself doesn't smell that bad, but when I wear it, and get hot, then take the jacket off, the shirt I'm wearing underneath is what starts to smell, but I know for a fact it's coming from the jacket.

Any tips?

Vinegar takes smells away. You can take a spray bottle and spray it with it. Let it sit until dry. Charcoal also removes smell. You can also hand wash it with saddle soap like I do. Does it smell like gasoline? They tend to do that on bikes cause you hang over the tank and the tank is vented. Also if you ride wheelies, some gas can get on you from time to time.

Stuff fresh newspaper in the jacket (down the sleeves too)and pants and leave overnight, the newspaper absorbs the odor, works on helmets too!:icon_bigg

Your welcome.... And I guess vinegar does work because I have to use these wipes for my Lucy Lui... She gets stinky really fast! But can someone please explain to me how that works?? Why does something that already stinks get rid of another stank?

vinigar is an acid, thus is acute smell. its strong enough to eat up bacteria that creates smells, yet is soft enough for you to cry like a little baby!!!
