I've put some thought into this before. I'm well on my way as I own three of the bikes now

Everyday/Dualsport- KLR650
Trackbike/Supermoto- KTM 625 SMC
Dreambike- ZX-14
Touring- Goldwing

Maybe just need a dirtbike and I'll be good for a while!

why does everyone think that ducati's are the poo poo!???? everything i have heard about them and this from the owners, is nothing good....you all only say it because you just want to be able to say " i have a ducati".....is that right?....i mean, yes, they are well manufactured machines, but yet, they are uncomfortable to sit on, high maintenance, and very expensive none the least.....

i have heard before...."it's not the bike that wins, it's the one on the bike that wins"....so do you get what i mean?

Well, I would disagree with part of that. The 999 is more comfortable than the RC51, IMHO, and not any more high maint than most sportbikes. Parts can be more expensive but just like anything else, you shop around.
And.................it IS the !!!!

2005 BMW R1200ST

Everyday- Honda Silverwing ABS
Trackbike- Suzuki SV650S
Touring- BMW R1200ST
Dualsport- KLR650/BMW F650GS
Dreambike- doesn't currently exist, but it has shaft drive, electronic cruise control, low seat, fairly sporty, good weather protection, big alternator, great lights, oem hard luggage, and most importantly: comes in forest green.

Maybe I should just get my BMW painted.
