wow, looks like it's tuned into a bashing thread

Why did you do the forks first, and not the shock?
and the front M/C probably won't get you where you want to be. It will have a firmer lever, because you are losing your hydraulic advantage (larger m/c piston). Those stock calipers are your real weak point - they flex, and only offer a very small pad contact patch versus a sportbike caliper, or aftermarket brembo or similar.
also, those cast brembo masters are getting very sparse due to everyone with a gsxr or zx6 wanting one to replace their niSSin masters.

I dont pay any mind to all the bashers out there...they are just mad cuz Im faster then them

I did the front forks first because it was the most expensive and I thought it was the biggest contributer to the front end nose dive I was having when getting on the brakes aggresively.....Ill get my rear shock done up next month probably

Ive been searching for the Brembo yamaha MC on ebay and your right no one really has chit I would love to get a whole set up with a bigger disk and even a caliper upgrade but thats major $$

08-10 R6, on the front of my XR650L I'm working on the CAD drawing now, hoping to cut the aluminum stock on monday! I fabbed up a steel bracket just to check functionality and final fitment.

Yes It is a very nice touch lol i am still absolutely in Love with that bike. Not the prettiest in the world any more but definitely gets ridden more than any other in my stable. I think I just need to change the brake fluid to get them back to where they used to be. Other then that I am thinking Hot Cams and E Gasket is what Im going to try next

Does the front brake need to be upgraded? I run the out of my DRZ at the track, and recently at ECR which is all 95 - 40 MPH braking, repeatedly and I had zero fade issue and complete control to keep the back just barely on the ground.

Am I missing something about how much better an aftermarket set up is?
