you guys couldn't do it even on 50's!!! this is not for those who aren't in shape, you could and probably will run out of physical energy in the first hour of the event!!

i would love to try it but dbuck is down and cliff, well i just don't know about cliff or a 2 man team running for 24 hrs.

i just don't want to kill the bike that just started running so well! plus every Xtreme race I have entered this year has basically been a DNF.

We'll see after Middleton. My bike is setup perfect for you and I, James. And she ran great the last two weekends. I'd need to see about adding a coolant reservoir for prevent overheating (even with my new bigger radiators), and I'd have to figure out the lighting...which I have already placed thoughts in...but I am not certain the overall cost for this race will fit the budget.

hmmm, how much do you weigh Irak?

Like I said, I'm still very undecided and not leaning in any particular direction. I just know if I was on a 3 man team on my bike, that we probably won't be winning any prize money, and I'd still be down the cost of a motor and a lighting system. I'd want to start the race with a fresh motor and can only assume I would be needing a rebuild after the weekend as well.

I would love to test myself and the bike, but I don't know about testing the wife's patience with me and this bike.

I hope to be there regardless of racing or not. I think it would make for a great time to experiment with the cameras.

Compared to James and you, I am a fatty. I am right at 190 last time I checked.

If you guys want to build a team, I'm game.

if I did build a team, i'd try to keep it "Team Lightweight" or "Team Small" so we could share a suspension without someone or the bike getting beat to death. this is another reason I am getting to the feeling of just running the iron man class.

it is more cost effective right now to run that...and just test out my abilities.

Current rate $550 3-man = $180 split
Current rate $150 1-man ironman. Plus I can run my own bike, and kill my own bike. totally testing the limits of myself and my bike. i wonder if I would be allowed to pit and take a nap?

There is always the multi-bike option that's a non-payout class...I don't expect any payout anyhow. It's my hobby.

Plan on an oil change someplace in the race and maybe some good supplimental lighting possible flat fix etc.

Thanks Vaughn. I didn't think about oil changing.

I did put a lot of research into lighting, and the electrical guru Gianni Capafool has pointed me in the right direction. I think with his help, I should be lighting up the forest pretty brightly with HIDs. If I can get this done in the next two weeks, I most definitely will be signing up.

I have two sets of wheels, and plan on running heavy duty tubes filled with Slime. I don't know if wheel changing is legal or not though, but at least I will be prepared. Overall, I am getting very excited about the possibility of pushing my bike and myself to the limits. I don't plan on winning anything, but I can say I did a 24 hour woods race.

Cliff, you can change wheels, tires, tubes, whatever. Anything can break, just be ready to fix it. I won't be racing, but I will be there witht he trailer and tools ready to help.
