I smell like rubber, asphalt and man after I ride. Someone should bottle that !

Only time I do is when I am rolling the bike down the street after a chain lube at slow speed after a wash. If I am leaving the street I'm always geared. However, I have been caught rolling to the corner store for smokes (right outside the neighborhood) other than that,.. well, you know.

It causes me to squid on the Goldwing, but not on the R1.......But for the most part, I don't do much riding at all this time of year. My prime riding season is October through April, with a little riding done in May and Sept. But come June, July and August, both of my bikes pretty much sit. I'll take them to work once in a while to keep the battery charged, gas running through them. And I'll take the Goldwing out at night when the humidity is low.

All I can say is.........Come on October......I'm ready to get some serious riding in.

I connute 50 miles a day. In the morning, when it's cool, I ride, helmet, jacket, boots, gloves. In the heat in the afternoon,I wear it all, except for jacket.

I hear you. I have such a short drive that it's actually cooler to ride unless I want my car to sit there guzzling gas by leaving it running to cool off before I leave. It is boring to ride without the gear though. I ride so slow and barely lean the bike. Sucks because I have a fun little route with stairs and a parking to lot to wheelie through as I'm leaving the neighborhood. But I don't even think about that unless I have my gear on.

Ok, now someone explain to me......
Why is it sportbikers get a bunch of mess when we ride without gear, but when cruisers do it, it's no big deal? This really confuses me, and no one has yet to explain it fully to me....

if you ride to dinner when it's already cooling, it's a short trip, and you don't stay on a truck's exhaust the whole time, it's not all that bad plus some girls prefer that you show up on the bike cause they think it's cool.
