Cool FNG

FNchick from Dallas. I just heard about ya'll from another forum. New to Houston, need peeps to ride with!! You can check out myspace to learn more about me. OR just ask. Any chicks in here? Been riding since I guess 02. I've probably logged about 30k miles. Done more track days than I can count, lots of long rides. I think the best I have accomplished is about 1500 over a weekend. :icon_smil Been to AR and done the Hill country stuff. Still wanna hit BIG BEND!!! Tried my hand at stuntin' too. Suck at it though, will leave the fancy stuff to the professionals (or nutjobs, depending on your outlook, lol) I like to watch, but it doesn't impress me a whole lot. AFter hanging around Patrick and some of the crazy crews in Dallas, I have seen/done it all. I had a good core group of chicks/dudes in Dallas I rode with & trusted. Looking for the same here. Oh, I'm very new to riding dirt. (Been to Sam Houston once so far, I like it)

Familiar with TSBA, used to be a member. Had a real real bad wreck at TWS (Texas World Speedway) in 05 and not riding like I used to. I wasn't hurt badly due to kick gear, but it scared the outta me and totaled my F4i. (highsided, turn 8 going over 80, stopped at the tire wall) (I rebuilt her better than before and just got back on this past spring) I still ride, but have a whole new respect. The same year I wrecked I lost a couple friends out there in the twisties, knew one that was turned into a vegetable and yet another that was paralyzed. It just really woke me up I love the outta riding, but don't take the risks I did a few years back and am just a lot more cautious.

So, are there bike nights or gatherings here? Are they crazy? Is bike theft terrible here? I heard you really have to watch your six here due to crime. I have been warned to basically NOT ride here. (sorta because I am chick) Is this Bullshit?? Are cages doing hit and runs real bad?

Holla

Welcome to tha mad house Mel!!! The crowds I've met here so far have been really cool, and it just depends on what groups you wind up with as to how the rides go. If you wind up in a group of nuts, just remember there are LOTS of other guys/gals around that have a brain. For the most part tho, the folks you meet on here are a great group of people! Again, WELCOME!
