Gear sticking. :(

sometimes, not all of the time. when shifting from 1st to 2nd the gear will stick, and its the same when down shifting. ill have to fight with it to get it into gear. it takes several seconds to get it into gear... NOT SAFE

am i doing something wrong? is it me? is it the bike? please help.

pull the clutch in more and add some fresh oil. with somebody looking at the clutch linkage squeeze the clutch and make sure its engaging at the case, but i dont know if that italian bike is like most bikes.

Sounds to me like you're not "pulling up" hard enough from 1 to 2. Remember, you have to get through neutral before it will go into second gear. As far as it not happening on the downshift...it's easier to push down then to pull up...especially for women J/K!!!

Pull the clutch in all the way and get your RPMs a little higher prior to shift.

i had him ride it, and i saw him have trouble, but he didnt say anything. but yesterday morning i went out on my own and the gear would not shift. i was stuck... i pressed down hard and nothing happen, it felt as if i was in first so i tried to shift up and nothing again as if i was in sixth. so i kept playing with it and finally it released. i dunno whats wrong.

when it sticks, try releasing hte clutch lever 1/2 way out, then pull it in all the way and shift.

put more air in the tires. that fixed mine. and I replaced the facotry stickers and got more ponies...

hope you don't have to replace the clutch plates.
