Forest Ride Sunday Morning

Forest Ride Sunday August 7th

Looking for 1-3 others, not looking for a large ride.

I keep it tame, especially on the street... so call the pace "moderate" on the slow side. I know the route, so anyone faster is free to join in, and anyone slower can tag along as well.

I will wait at every major direction change for people to catch up if necessary.

Where:Meet will be in Montgomery at the intersection of 149/105 at the Exxon (used to be a Texaco).

Time:
9am from the meet depending on if anyone messages/posts.

Route: Typical forest. I ride 3090 TWICE (though will probably only ride the south end once as I find it to be rather crappy lately with uneven pavement). After a couple rides of 3090, I stop at Yankees for lunch then head home.

Gear: REQUIRED: Helm, jacket, and gloves AT LEAST. I ride with a full leathers and a back protector.

As a side note, I have 50% off trackdays that can be raffled if anyone is interested.

If we go that early, Yankees wont even be open for us by the time we've ridden 3090 twice.

I live in Huntsville. I am about 15 minutes from 149, and 25 minutes from the meet spot.

Hey guys, the South end of 3090 just North of FM 3455 is really jacked up. They've tried to patch it with asphalt and gravel. The lane surface is split level meaning the inside of the lane is higher than the outside. Be really careful headed South in that last left hand 15mph turn right before you hit FM 3455. A rider on a Duc almost went down and we were going slow because of the gravel but the uneven pavement almost caused him to crash. It will catch your front tire if you're braking and your bike will not like it.

Yeah, maybe it is worse than when I was last there a week ago, but it was very uneven...hence only riding the south end once. You have to really force your bike to stay.

But hey, they fixed that bump right before the bridge!

I'm going to say meeting at Exxon @ 105/149 @ 9am.

If anyone is interested with that, post here or PM me. Otherwise, I will just wake up and go at my leisure.

Just got home man. Ill be there at 9am, look for the white Busa. Going to take it moderately easy as ive never been on 3090, and I just got the bike this week so im still adjusting to it
