cow creek/CO 25?

I'm moving down to richmond this month, and my house will be very close to CRR. At the bottom of CRR is cow creek, or county rd 25. Has anyone ridden this road? First stretch looks nice on the map but never can tell. I know of a few roads out there, and I'm looking forward to having some twisty country roads so close. Anyone know of more roads in that area I should look at?

Several times. The road is really riff, but if its your backyard, it could be worse

Well I've all but given up riding twisties, save for the occasional forest ride, but, if I'm gonna be out there might as well set up a nice route to blow off steam

Once I get moved in I'll do some "exploratory" riding.

First half is really ruff or "riff" according to Pachuco the rest is ok...it does go thru some neighborhoods so its not a road u just wanna blast down. But once u get to the last 3 mile stretch where it's all swampy there is some long isolated straights

It's worth riding down but just take it easy...

Cow Creek is alright. The are a couple of 90's at the north end, then it is straight for a long time. The last 5 miles is OK, but once you get to West Columbia, you're and gone from anything really fun. Worth riding once or twice, I guess. Not a lot of traffic, but watch the knuckleheads going in and out of the golf course.

The road is narrow, tree lined, deep ditches and about a lane and a half wide. The 90 degree turns are blind and some are off camber. Go fast, make a mistake and be an RIP thread.

I've heard that County Road 42 (Sandy Point Rd) off of 1462 just East of the Brazos River is a good road, but I've never been on it.

That's a neat little road. Tree lined and lots of houses though. Pretty, but not for tearing up. I haven't been through there in a couple of years, though.

I live in Richmond, ride cow alot. Taken quite a few people out there. I like it personally. Don't wreck and cause cops to patrol it and ruin my fun tho.
