Busa problems

I have a 2006 Busa and i am having backfire issues. Occurs on deceleration. Also, throttle tends to fluctuate while idling. Could I have a vacuum leak or maybe electrical? Any ideas on where to start my look would be appreciated.

Was in shop about 1000 miles ago for tuneup. I have around 13000 miles on the bike.

Never. Is this standard maintenance? Last two times in shop, they couldn't get it to backfire. Gets worse the warmer the engine gets.

No performance mods. However I did disconnect the airbox dampner after reading this could cause the problem.

+1. Make sure they synced them. Not all shops will... Call and find out what they did.

Made this mod already, after reading about it on other posts. I will call the shop and find out if they performed a sync on the throttle bodies.

I appreciate all of the helpful input. Hopefully my problem will be solved soon.

So the marble mod didn't solve it?

To be clear, the marble mod is the same as disconnecting the vacuum line from the airbox dampner, door, and plugging the line?

No, you are talking about the flapper valve which is inside the airbox.

The marble mod, blocks the line from the smog pump which can cause the bike to backfire when it goes bad....

Have you messed with the flapper valve?

That could also be part of the problem...
