On a side note, with a group of that size and that range of experience...we should have been in 2 or 3 groups all day.

Good luck and godspeed on the recovery Eric....if there is anything I can do for you, please feel free to let me know 713-249-3193 Danny

Eric is stable at the hospital in College Station at this time but has some cracked bones in his skull and will probably have to undergo surgery to stop some of the bleeding. They are on his way now with his wife to pick up the bike while he sleeps. Looks like he will be in the hospital for a while at this point.

If he has a cracked scull, things aren't looking good from what I know. A cracked scull means swelling of the brain. And swelling of the brain causes brain damage. I saw a lot of them at TIRR (Rehab) when I was there. I hope it isn't as bad as it sounds.

People always asked why I spent so much money on a helmet. I always told them it was because my head is in it!

Yeah, I feared with his helmet split off his head, there was going to be more than just a concussion. Keep him in our thoughts.

Me on the other hand, has been dropped multiple times on my noggin' without visible damage... duh!

Ed,
Someone stated above that it was a Fulmer Helmet. Looks like he should have spent the money on the fancy paint job towards a good lid.

I really hope that he does come back with a full recovery. I hate seeing this type of thing over and over again. I know it will never end but I know that education towards motorcycling will help slow down the progression of tragic accidents.

Update: Brena23 S_m_j82 and I just visited the hospital and picked up his bike. Doc says that he is doing well as of now will have more info in a couple of days/weeks concerning his goofyness. But very good progress as of now. We will keep you updated concerning visiting as of he is still in ICU bt later visitations will be a HUGE HELP!

Martin,

Glad to hear that things are looking good at this point. We MUST continue to pray that his health may get better and that the Lord would keep a very close eye on him and over those docs who are treating him.

BC,
Thanks for the update. I may be able to make a run out to CS on Wed or Thur. depending on work. Were you guys able to see him at this point or was family the only ones allowed to visit?
What you guys are doing for him makes a world of difference. I'm sure his family appreciates it. Please keep the updates coming as they are received.
Thanks,
DBuck

Ok I am setting up an account to help with medical bills for eric. His doc informed us he does not have medical and well they can use any and all help they can get.

Also for yall not scared of needles a blood donation would also help just in case its needed. Hopefully it will not be but that way it is one less thing they will be charged for. Just please if you do this say you are donating it for Eric Thorn and it will give him a credit i guess you couold say. I am abotu to set up the account now and again ANYTHING will help.

Thank yall so much for everyone willing to come out and help and everyone offering help. His wife is being so strong and is such a sweet lady. Please keep them in your prayers!
