For those of you on the ride, how far along did this happen after I broke off to head home?
Was it on that blind elevated turn Martin and I were talking about???

Was that bike purchased like that or did he make it that way? I've never seen one before in those colors or badging.
He has it painted like that some where in Dallas. I was speaking to him a day before the ride, about the paint job.

Sad part is the first batch maybe in full leathers with alot of track time and experience on their side, where as the 2nd and 3rd batch of riders passing and trying to keep up may not have THAT much experience, nor the adequate gear for a fall.

Very well said, Moe!

Leave the 'racing' up to the track.

I hope the rider will be completely okay. He was very lucky reading the circumstances of his crash.

bless him in his recovery. It's good to know that people still look out for each other. I'm glad to know that his fellow riders were there for him.

Just a thought, as far as his bike goes.... has anyone thought about opening a Paypal account for the board. I'll chip in a few bucks to help get his bike out if someone wants to set it all up.
We could keep the account open to help others in need out in the future too. (for things like this.... helping guys/gals get their bikes back after a wreck, or [ forbid] flowers to a funeral from the MH collective?) Again, just a thought.

PS... Brena, thanks a LOT for the updates!

I'd rather not keep an open account for this.
It's alot like expecting the worse.

I would be happy to help chip in to get his bike out but I dunno about leaving an open account.

gotdamnnit. i met eric and talked to him a couple times on the phone. in fact it might of been me that pointed him to MH. he is the nicest dude, and i knew he would be a great member for this community.

i feel bad as . he asked me what my sig meant (the "streetlight gp champion" one. i took it down btw). i told him about the excitement of having fun on the street in group rides. i told him it was just a joke, etc...we were joking and laughing about it for a minute, and i felt like i was giving him the wrong idea, so i took a few minutes to stress safety, and made sure to tell him to ride his own pace. i even gave him the "two kinda riders" speech. somehow i still feel guilty, so im not goin to use that sig anymore.

im just glad he wasnt hurt any worse. he is a great guy im sure he had some angels watching over him.

is it possible to visit him?

I would be glad to put $50 in to get the bike out. If this is going to be done it must be done quickly, the storage-rape fees accumulate daily. Send me a message whoever takes charge.
