Thumbs up Kawasaki's Ticket 2 Ride

Anyone going to Kawasaki's Ticket 2 Ride? It's Kawasaki's demo ride event on August 13th and 14th at Sam Houston Race Park.

This.

I would hate to drive out there and not even get to ride one. I'm really curious how the 11 10R compares to my 05

I live 5 minutes away! Not really in the market (yet) for a new bike, but might go early just to see what's up!

Went this morning and rode the ZX-1000R. They take you on the road for around 20 minutes or so, and the guy I was following got it up to around 100 or so, I assume, for a short stretch. You get in line, and choose the bike and time you want to ride, if available. So, you could sign up for one in the morning and come back in the afternoon to ride like I am doing. ZX-1000R in the morning, Concours around 4:30 this afternoon. Early to arrive is better for the more popular sport bikes. I think the first people in line today were there around 6:30 or so, though sign in doesn't start till 8 and rides start at 9. I was like 25 or 30 back and still got a 9:45 ride on the ZX.

Only requirements are a motorcycle license, long pants, closed toe shoes and a helmet. They recommend full gear but do not require it.

So, wait a decent amount of time for one ride, and get a 2nd ride if you are lucky and want to wait another several hours?

hmmmm.

It's pretty cool. I stopped by when I was out running errands but gonna ride tomoro. They have a big tent with several tables to sit at. The chick working there said the line started at 7 this morning.

They'll ask how long you've been riding and what you ride to determine what you can and cannot ride. I have to ride their 250 before they let me take the zx6. Oooook, so I have to hop off my 500 to get on a 250 then up to 600. Oh no! I have to ride another bike?!

The ninja 650 is out of commission for the event.
