It's not Mancuso's fault if Yamaha doesn't want to cover the work, as warranty. I'm not sure why some of yall are saying Mancuso is doing the penetrating here.. Sounds like Yamaha is.

its never up to the dealership to warranty a repair... is up to the Manufactor to do so... shop only does the repair.

Just dont take it personal with the guys at the shop, they are good peoples and they are just doing their job.

Best of luck to you and I hope they do give you a "Goodwill clutch" if thats the case and you are not paying for anything then you should be happy with that.

After being on the phone a while with Yamaha & one of the clutch mfg's, we ended up adding an additional steel & friction to account for the play.

They are a Distributor for Yamaha. They sold him the bike, they could atleast help or show some interest in making it right though. Great customer service, buy the bike and get the out. Stop by and see us when your in the market for another bike!

More like expect for companies to do the right thing. They didnt give him this bike, he did purchase it.

My next Kawasaki wont be purchased from Mancuso

So you suggest that Mancuso perform the work, eat the cost of the parts and labor and then try to get their money from Yamaha even though Yamaha already said it was not covered?

Uh, ha ha, clutches aren't covered under the warranty unless you can prove a defect, besides Mancuso has no greater legal obligation to service that bike than any other Yamaha dealer

Yea, I already posted that earlier today. Every Yamaha dealer must honor Yamaha's warranty no matter where the bike was purchased.

Why not? Maybe there is another Yamaha service department that will pony up for parts and labor when they aready know they wont be reimbursed. Doubtful though because people that want to stay in business don't business at a loss.

He bought a Yamaha R1. Not a Mancuso R1.

I take my Ford truck to any service department. I actually take it to whoever is closest. They all take care of warranty work. A motorcycle is no different.

Yeah well the dealer that sold the product should work with yamaha. Taking it to another dealer who made NO money off the sale is retarded.

I had a problem with my bike, had a similar experience at mancuso. They didn't deny it outright, but they started talking like it was my problem. Believe it or not this was the solution to my problem. Went to another dealer, now my bike is getting fixed. Funny how that works...

That experience has ensured the conclusion of my relationship with mancuso.

Yeah its my friends bike but I have the same thought. I have purchased a new bike through Mancuso and well... It will be the last bike I ever buy from them.

Yea, unless the other dealer wants to make money. Like you know, getting a new customer to sell parts, accessories and service to. Maybe sell a new bike to in the future. Maybe some good word of mouth. Besides all that, yeah it's pretty retarded, and you must have a MBA from aggieland

Yeah well its customer service by Mancuso. Bad word of mouth for them and a good way to loose future customers. I know you keep your UT degree close to you in that lil pack and I dont care.
