popping on decel

What do y'all suggest I do if my bike exhaust is popping on decel after higher speeds. Runs great besides the popping. A jetkit perhaps? Any help is appreciated

Do you have an aftermarket exhaust? What kind?

Check for leaks in the exhaust system?

Remove the PAIR/KLEEN air system from your bike that recycles fresh air into the exhaust system.

If you have any aftermarket exhaust, headers, or midpipes, consider getting it properly tuned.

Assure that your carbs are in synch and properly tuned.

All of these things and more can cause decel popping. It is also the nature of some bikes due to proprietary ECU data (example, all kawais pop at 3500 rpms down.)

If it's the '01 R6 in your profile and it has an aftermarket exhaust but is not rejetted then I'd install a jet kit.

There are a lot of people that don't even understand what jetting a carb means. He was very likely full of .
Take it to Patrick, have them check what jets are in it and get it right. Let them synchronize the carbs and you will be amazed at the difference it makes. It will feel like a new bike.

Yup just open up that exhaust and make sure the put in the correct jets! Also mabye HE did clean the carb and install the jet kit. <- That usually is the problem. +1 on checking for simple exhaust leaks even a small leak can cause major problems.
