You said, you only heard that he was a crackhead.

Sometimes poor performance is not enough and he can get an attorney. It depends on the type of job and he can get an attorney.

Yea, get yourself clean and get a life. Why does it have to become an employers problem because a crackhead has a problem. He got himself into it, it's up to the loser to get himself out.

not true. ive been clean for about 4 years. the 3 years before that is a different story. you couldnt fit all the stuff i did into a large breifcase. weed aside, you would need a very large envelope to hold all the substances i put in my system during that time. i passed a hair follicle test back in january. i didnt use any other products to help me pass, or clean my system. the only shampoo i used is the stuff you get from the dollar store that smells like apples or whatever.

Yes, that can deffinently be a big problem, my dad owns his own construction company and one of his buddys owns his own company as well and a couple of the guys who were working for him were doing something they shouldnt using a lift to raise a water heater to the second floor and the heater ended up falling off onto this guys leg and crushing all the bones and in his leg, ended up they found drugs in his system at the hospital and the insurance company wouldnt cover the bill since there was in his system!

Offer to smoke with them. Look for brillo pads, smalll glass novelty rose containers and broken up bits of coat hanger. theese items fashion crack pipe, screen or filter and push rod to remove old residue.

Yes he can still file for unemployment, HOWEVER, you can protest his being able to collect it, AND if you can show sufficient cuse for his being let go, he will be denied unemployment.
In my experience when I still was in the corporate world, cocaine and their byproducts will stay in the system anywhere from 2 to 7 days, depending upon whether the person is a recreational user or not.
Most crackheads don't remain "recreational" for long.

When you call the guy in for testing, and later to let him go if it's positive, make sure someone else is present in the office with you. Preferably someone from HR or another manager. If not, at least someone that has been with your company for awhile and has credibility.
Doing do will help prevent any type of wrongful discharge issues.
