Kat-haters... you suck, all of you.

One in question is about a '99, 600cc. Weighs in the vincinity of 450 lbs - 'bout the same as most modern literbikes. Roughly 87 hp, tops about 135. On the up side, you can actually ride more than 20 mins without leg cramps and rash. And there's no EFI to up.

Only thing this guy needs is a 750 not a 600. Oh, and a pair of shoes. I mean boots. And a helmet. And a jacket. And some gloves. And probably a good -kicking, just for good measure.

A 1999 600 katana weighed 450 lbs DRY, a modern sportsbike like an r6 weighs in at ~360 lbs DRY.

As for horsepower, its more like 77 hp not 87.. with most modern sportbikes well over 100 hp, close to 110.

Thats well over 40% more power per lbs. Almost twice the bike

99 Katana when new 6299

a 'modern' 2011 R6 10629

that's about 40% more cost too.

so the cheap guy on the katana can buzz along plenty fast enough for the money. So are you using that shiny $10K rocket to do 140+ all the time on the freeways?

Although the initial pic does seem a but naked and went a little too cheap.
