Busa/Banshee Street Legal ???

Built a machine using a 07 busa motor and yamaha banshee components. Runs and drives in ATV trim but im working on fitting a gixxer 1k swingarm on it and getting it street legal, kinda like a can-am spyder. Anyone know what all would be involved in getting it street legal? Im sure I would have to register it as a custom built motorcycle but whats the actual procedure for it?

First, we need to see some pictures before we can evaluate the situation.

i think it would be hard. Anything with 4 wheels, i would think, is considered an automobile. If it had 3 wheels i think you could maybe get away with the custom motorcycle thing. You could at the very least take it to the drag strip

with 3 wheels it would pass as a motorcycle.

It's currently being fitted with a gixxer 1k swingarm. It will be a trike then. Only used ATV components.

I'll be watching for updates. . .but in it's current configuration it's not going to be street legal in texas.

Oh absolutely. ATVs are VINed for off road use only. You can pull it off in Europe but I don't know of any US states that allow it. The gixxer swingarm is ready to hang as soon as I machine another bushing for the pivot bolt. Should have brought the mini lathe home from my dads today but didn't think of it.

Man I hope I see the day. Pondering on a turbo set up but might be a bit much. Chassis may not take it.
