They can! It's on Pedrosa's bike

My point Exactly, as HRC is a Spanish Team, and Pedrosa is a Spanish Rider & Hayden, well he's the KunTuckY Kid (puff)

I want to see Hayden and Pedrosa fight before the race. I think Hayden would put a good ol' Kentucky woopin' on his little . I'm with you BlackWidow.

I don't know how much I buy into the theory that Dorna likes Pedrosa better just because he's hispanic. Rossi rules MotoGP, gets whatever he wants, and he's Italian.

If Dorna does indeed have Dani as a favorite, I personally tend to think it'd be based more on him being a World Champion winning MotoGP rider and Nicky isn't. Nicky could be champ one day and maybe then things will be different.

Did anyone here (i'm sure a sh*t pile of you did) go to the Laguna Seca round this year? And if so, were any of you sitting at the bottom of the corkscrew during the GP race?

It's not just Dani. If you have followed MotoGP for a while there are several examples of Dorna favoring the spanish riders. Yes, they love Rossi too. He is the face of MotoGP.

Spain is just THE roadracing capital of the world. The series is Spanish owned, they have 3 rounds in Spain ever year, they sell 'em all out. It's not un heard of to have 200,000 as the weekend attendance for a spanish round.

To further put it into perspective, Laguna Seca had an attendance of ~60k fans on raceday. In Spain they setup a bigscreen tv set inside one of the circuits to watch the Chinese GP race live. They had 60+k thousand fans show up before 6am to watch it on TV?!?! :laughing6

Screw Japan, I may be moving to Spain.

I went to the Valencia round last year. People get so crazy that they don't even sell beer at the race. But you can bring your own. People brought 5 gallon water jugs filled with good dark beer, and then passed it around in the sun ALL afternoon. It was wild. But I don't think it was as wild as the hype that I had heard going into it.

This year there was a BRAWL right at the bottom of the corkscrew. It was the "sit the f@ck down" rednecks versus the "stand the f$ck up" rednecks. It was about as good as the race itself!
