Just got back, 4 days in the HC and 4 in SA. It was flipping HOT.

I highly recommend getting a Camelback to keep hydrated.

I dunno dude...from Google Reviews...

This place is nasty! Due a flood at my residence near by i had to stay at the Crossland for an extended amount of time. The people let their pets do there business in the parking lot, hallways, even on the walk way on the 3rd floor.(which stayed there for 3 days) The stairways has trash over flowing on every level. (smell like death) the elevator smelled like smoke and looked as if it hasn't been cleaned in weeks. The rooms smell and has fleas and when asked to move to a new room, the one we got was worse that the one we just left. Parties and fights outside all hours of the night. Police constantly cruise the parking lot and runs plates at the same time. You have to PAY Extra for house cleaning, so i did and only seen them one time in 5 weeks. They just informed us that they no longer give out cleaning supplies so if you want to take the intiative to clean it yourself you can't. The new mgmt doesn't have the people skills for the job and address people in a negative way. There was a mix up with me staying or checking out while i was at work one day and this guy took it upon himself to try and through my daughter out of my room and threaten to call the police. She called me frantic and come to find out all it was is that they needed my permission to charge more nights. Handled very poorly! PLEASE... Stay away from this place. The saying "You get what you pay for" will still have you p**sed off even if it was for a cheap rate. This place is a hole filled with creepy people, Smelly rooms, bad mgmt, and bad housekeeping. Also about the creepy people.- Some of the residence complained about an older male on the 3rd floor exposing himself several times to people, THEY SENT HIM A 'LETTER' ASKING HIM TO STOP IT!!! To this day he is still there and now is being watched by police becasue the residents took it into their own hands. STAY AWAY!! BE WARNED!!!

Cheap, but nasty place Motel style building with a common balcony. There is no security. Anyone from the street could walk up to your room. The non-smoking room smelled bad. It permeated all my clothes. I killed the cockrock that was living in the TV. Shower only. Creepy, long-term residents.

I will sleep outside first before ever staying there again This place is not very clean. the walls are dirty and i even had black socks just from kicking my shoes off in the room. and the smell is terrible. i opened the air conditioning vent and found 3 inches of dirt , dust and webs. yuk. also see cops there alot with binnochulars, hm! had people next room over all night, door open and close , open and close, someone leaving and coming every hour on the hour..also had strangers knocking at my door asking for 5 bucks because they were ready to be kicked out ( like 5 bucks would help) alot of bad people there. like a no tell motel by the hour. even though it wasn't, it sure was very active. then as i was going to get a bite to eat, people ran out there room and asked for a smoke. never again!!!! i as a woman was very scared there! and the girl at the desk in the evening was very rude! trust me MOVE ON '''''
I used to work for BlackStone Group IV, who at one time owned Extended Stay America/StudioPlus/Crossland Hotels...and I will warn you all, Crossland is at the bottom of the barrel. Like, below Motel 6 bad. I can deal with dirty hotels but creepy, long-term criminal/transient-type people, I dunno...just sayin'

I agree with Ormand. I know I would pass out on bed after all day ride, but those issues with Crossland made me have to choose another place. By the way this is my first long trip ride if anyone have suggestion please tell me, like what do you pack beside clothing? anyone wearing leather jacket or pants?
1. Solracer - 05 Ninja 500R - wants a roomie
2. Bevo - 09 CBR1000RR with tailbag
3. HMFIC....Solracer, get a room--with TWO beds..lol, and Ill go 1/2...
4. ibhusain - 06 Yamaha FZ6
5. Ormand - 09 Ninja 650r - will room with Solracer <3<3
6. Reese-most likely cbr1000
7. Paul - 08 Zx-14

I've never stayed there, but, there are some good reviews as well and it's in a decent part of town.

I chose it because it's close to our stop point and from the Google street view it looks like I can roll my bike into a ground floor room.

However, the name Crossland Economy Studios speaks for itself

NO PROBLEM!!! I've been staying here now for over 2 weeks and can't believe it's the same place described by Quinten & Stephanie. I echo the sentiments of Deborah...an exceptional rate for a decent room. Yeah, the common hall and stairwell sometimes has an essence of spilled beer but if you want the Ritz, you'll pay dearly for it! The only living thing in my room besides myself was a cricket that hopped in while I had the door open once the cool weather arrived. My bad! But a staff member promptly fixed the cooktop when I told him it wasn't functioning. I would stay here again or recommend it to anyone. Just realize it's a decent value for the $$$.

Im really not picky, just want to stay somewhere cheap and spend as little as possible... Id like to be able to roll the bike in. All the rooms at this hotel face the parking lot.

High in Austin on Saturday is forecast at 100*. Better start hydrating on Friday morning early.

Yeah I looked earlier and it said 103. I need to make sure to clean out my Camelbak. Don't want to be drinking whatever is probably growing inside.
