Suggestions??

So I have to move my bike to a friend's garage in North Houston because my girlfriends car got broken into on the street parked directly in front of my car in Midtown. Yeah I am staying in the ghetto and need the garage space for my car. It is off 45 just past the beltway. Any suggestions on a safer route than 45 to get there since I will be riding with no health insurance or motorcycle insurance. I didn't go out and get insurance right away on the bike since I hadn't anticipated riding until my health insurance kicked in.... I am seriously sweating bullets over here.

If ur paranoid borrow somebody's truck or rent a motorcycle trailer from Uhaul for $15 and be done with it. Get at least insurance to cover liability and theft.

good call and welcome to the board. safest route imo would be taking 59 to belt then belt to 45. less traffic, that is if you are talking NORTH SIDE

I am definitely going Northside. I am pretty much riding from Rich's in Midtown to Airtex off 45. I figured 59 would be the safest route.. bigger and more open so not as much lane change mayhem.

exactly. i live a couple of exits up the road off of 1960 and i take 59 when i can. way safer. 45 outside of the belt isnt bad so its ideal taking that route, no tolls either!

Looks like you made the right decision on buying moto insurance. On the SV you should be able to get it fairly inexpensively.

Mine is cheapest through Progressive - $209 for liability plus medical for one year.
