cylinder replating, who does it?

any one know somewhere i can send it off to, and a ballpark figure? for a 95 yz 125

Look around a bit (google) i cant remember who does it any more but you can have it resleeved which would give you a boreable cly..later on and it shouldnt cost more than 200 hundred give or take...

not realy. ive seen some on ebay, but i dont want to fork out the 100-150 for a new jug, just to turn around re plate it..... Ive done a little more research and it looks like a place called rat racing in alvin does it for under $200. Going to call on monday and see if they are open. If not then ill call on tuesday.

I have done a few. and never had a issue with them...but if your going to sale i would go a different route..

Various Equipment for various uses.
Dirt, Street, Track, Dual Sport, I like em all.








Some of these places send it out to have the replating done, although they still mention that they do it since they just have someone else do it. I dont know how it is now, but my understanding was there used to be very few places around the country that actually did the replating service themselves. That might be very old information tho. Good luck and post up how the service was from whoever you use.

When I used them earlier this year they didn't have that fee. That's curious. I blame Obama.

You can't wrong with Millennium - those guys do great work, too - but when you get something done like replating, you can let a 5% surcharge bother you or you can simply get it done right by the people that invented the process. Your call.

Tom at rat racing in Alvin replated a cylinder for me. I know many shops used to send their stuff his way.
