. I used to drive up there almost every month or more and that was rough. My hat's off to you.

How long did it take the feeling to come back you your fingers and after that?

600 or so in one day.. done multiple day trips of 400-500 a day on back roads...

My miles are very rarely if ever interstate so it could be longer if I didn't get bored and fall asleep...

Round Rock to Padre all back roads, then to Reynosa to Piedras Negras then Big Bend then to Vanderpool 337 then to Marble falls through back roads then to RR again.

All on the most uncomfortable sport bike ever made, the 04 CBR600rr. That was my 1st long ride.

I almost got heat stroke that ride at one point.

I learned a hard lesson about hydration on that ride.

Lol I made the round trip with a stop off to run the dragons tail and blue ridge parkway in Tennessee, total time away from Houston - 8 days.
I wish my went numb. ZX-12c (axe1200) stock seat suuuuucks.

I also run between Birmingham, Alabama to Houston quite a bit.

Not sure yet. I might have to help a friend move up to Austin from McAllen so I might ride the bike down and drive it back in the back of the Uhaul.

If not, I want to plan a hill country ride somewhere. I sometimes just wing it.

Tuesday a group of 4 of us took off from Houston to Austin.... the day was cut short because of a completely shot tire in the middle of nowhere, TX. Otherwise it would have been an even longer ride.
