GD this is the SM section, and you don't know what sportsman tires are?

Street tires that fit factory size wheels - the cheapest way to get into SM, there's even a sportsman racing class.

nope, I always thought it was 17's or bust. Who the wants narrow street tires anyway

I've got my eyes on a set of hella cheap takeoffs to get me through the weekend, and I already ordered the kit to lace 17's to my spare hubs... well, for chad to lace 17's to my spare hubs...

They see me trollin'
Here is a link to a thread in their forum. The general manager Mitch Wright is apparently considering allowing supermotos to run the kart tracks any day that it is open to the public for $50 a day. Here is what he says. "Yes we will run Supermoto bike sessions on the open kart track days if we have interest from the supermoto riders. At this time we don't have plans to add a dirt section, down the road with enough interest we could look into it." BOOM HEADSHOT! Track isn't open to public for another month and half I believe. We should make another trip there in November to ride the kart track. EDIT: They have confirmed this. They will also allow 250 sportbikes to run it as well. Kart Track will be open to the public every day unless there is a race or a corporate track day.

I have been there many, many times. The guy that runs it is Carl (if you never been). Super nice guy. He rips it on a 150. They just layed down a new section of asphalt a couple of months ago. I havent been since then. It was still fresh.

Some of this video is at MPR:

Rip it up...too bad Mr. F can't make it to the Gap with me...

Here is my local track:

Just got back from the kart track last night and it was fun. Might even be more fun for some minis. The track was cool. It is small and you really don't get over 55 on one of the straights but you have the whole place to yourself so if you just want to cruise around in a tshirt and take it easy you can do it. Want to wheelie down the straight (or in Terrell's case do a stoppie down the entire straight). Go ahead. Want to run the same turn over and over. Go ahead. Want to take a break and have a cold beer. Be my guest. Want to take the manager's go kart for a spin. Have at it. I need to get one of those karts. Fun. We were there until 3am riding bikes on the track and the dirt. Drinking beer, riding gokarts, relaxing. It was really laid back. We just left our bikes at the track in an enclosed trailer and the manager came back the next day to let us in and unlock it so we could ride some more. There was the two of us from Houston and three locals the first night and the second day it was just the track manager and the two of us. One of the guys lowsided but was alright. Terrell lost his rear enough for his axle slider to touch and then the tire hooked up resulting in a near highside. Wish I would have gotten that one on film. It's a small narrow track so I ran off of it 3 or 4 times and just took it easy after that. Dirt section was perfect for motards. Narrow but had really nice berms. Wasn't the nicest track in the world but it is only $20, a lot of fun, and pretty much a free for all. Going to try and plan a trip to the NOLA track in November and then hit this one up on the way back.

Merely a lowside that punched a hole in my side cover. All was good though and had some fun. Somebody finally to chase around. Glad you guys showed.

I have some videos from earlier in the day and working on getting them uploaded. The one above of the dirt section is actually from my youtube page. I am the fat guy you see earlier in the video. Hope to see some of those pictures soon.

Glad to see a report on the trip. A date late in October would probably work well for most as track season is winding down as is TMGP.

Whenever I can borrow the SD card from the camera I'll post a pic I got of you showing the lean angle you had shortly before you lowsided. It is pretty ridiculous.

It will be nice to how far that BRP got leaned over. It never feels that far when you are on it. I have leaned it over in the garage to the pegs and there is no way I am leaning it that far. I know they drag on the track though.

Here we go. I was having issues. No editing and turn the sound down. Kind of annoying and loud.
