Sorry - wrong person then. Just a kidd'n about the service. While we were waiting inside at the counter, Erik was jokingly trying to warranty the brain bucket he was wearing durring a spill. Oddly enough, the helmet defects looked a lot like rock chips, and he was shot down...

I went there to the place in Katy to look at the Daytona's and the GSXR's ,but John, just kept saying, take it today, If I can get you a deal will you take it today!!! Then the manager said we don't do deals, but later john said he would do a "deal", and he himself coudln't even come back to say it. didn't impress me. There is much competion and it pays to shop! many other shops would love my(your) money. I'm the nicest person you'll ever meet, but don't do me wrong and pretend!

So are you saying you can't give a price on a particular bike, or there are special deals on special days for special people?

Trying to commit a buyer to a same day purchase is a sales ploy to try to lock in the purchase and boost sales/commissions - definitely not a service to the customer, who would be better off shopping around in most cases.

so you get a bike you're happy with a bussiness makes money if margins are maintained then that bussiness can afford to purchase items to better assist a customer with future needs and a salesman is a success.
what is a downside?

Pressure selling is not about making the customer happy and you know it. It's in the customers best interest to shop around. Downside to pressure tactics is that they off some people and they tell others.

I wouldnt bring up future servicing or parts as any type of benifit, considering the original post.

So, if I come in and ask for a price on a bike, until I commit to buying it then and there I can't get a price?

hmmmm

Sorry, but I personally would say "thanks, Later!"

You get customers by making them feel like there getting a good deal, with good customer service because they will in turn spread the word, and thats the best and cheapest advertisement. Unless you just got cash to throw around no one is gonna say yes I'm gonna buy the bike with out agreeing to a price.. They might say that but theres no comittment there gonna buy it form you.

I agree. My friend and I both purchased bikes at the same dealership because another friend told us about the good service along with a fair price.

So in selling a bike to one person, they made 3 sales.

People in katy dont have the "kind" mentality that suprisingly us in the city have.
Most of the people ive met in katy with a buisiness or just living are rude as , and just "rich" people looking for more money.
But besides that possibly stupid assumtion (never assume, it just makes an out of U and ME) I didint like polaris at all, rude rude people all over, and if you show no sign of wanting to buy, dont want to give you time of day.

Now thats not to say thats everyone, swiftE, I love you!
