Glad you are ok... but just remember it's up to you to merge, not the highway traffic to allow you to fit in...

I see people all the time running off or on the shoulder because they drive next to someone on the freeway, expecting them to slow down and make a hole..

If that's not the case then I just mis-read what you wrote.

This is exactly what I was going to say. Feeder traffic should ALWAYS yield to freeway traffic, and if you were merging, then you were supposed to slow down and yield the right-of-way.

Please do explain how you were forced off the road.
