I just changed to Allstate tonight, insuring two motorcycles (full coverage). They are saving more than $600 a year over Progressive. I just went to the site that you listed, Allstate is $150 cheaper than them.

I am also in the market for some cheap moto insurance. Got a quote from Progressive and it was pretty reasonable. Like 700 for a year full coverage with 500 deductible but I am fairly certain no track day coverage. If anyone knows where I can do better let me know. I won't be riding though for a while since my health insurance at my new job doesn't start until September... Serious Asshattery on my employer's part.

I think if you have a clean record you have better options. I for one have 2 accidents and a moving violation on my record and they were almost saving me 200$ A MONTH over anybody else. Im young too. Also I found it funny that the same coverage for an 2009 R1 was cheaper than my 2009 R6. I don't know how they run their numbers.

I am not sure.. but its something about the year and what are the most comment bikes to be stolen, crashed and some other ... the more famous your bike is the more you pay... I THINK!
Not really sure...
I called all state and for an SV they gave me a quote for 60/monthly then for the R6 (because of the "R") the gave me 160/monthly.. so i really dont know how they get all that together

I had dairyland for about 6 months then got a quote from geico and Allstate. Geico was outrageous, but Allstate right at half the price of dairyland. It is also a local agent that knows me by name and is really helpful, and covers my trackday/"learning schools". I'm 24 w/ msf and no tickets

Moral of the story is to be sure and shop around. Your price may be way different then other peoples. Hey Floyd, how about that pm haha

Why not just add some personal injury protection to your insurance short term?

I don't know why Allstate is so much higher for me. I don't have any accidents or tickets, took the MSF, and have a year of riding experience. It might be because I'm 22 and got a brand new bike that I financed.

Allstate quoted me over $1000 a year for a bike that's not even a sport bike and can barley get over 100 mph.

Dairlyand got me half that price.
