Josh Herrin.

So we don't crowd up the other thread. I wanted to get some opinion on Josh Herrin.

After watching him and Eslick trade paint all last year (and watching Danny lose the #1 to stick it to Herrin) and then seeing how they're racing (clean) this year I can't help but wonder what's gonna happen.

Herrin was fingered, fined and suspended for the crash he caused at the D200. And all the bullshit that went around because of his F/B/Twitter talking about it. He's managed to sneak out a few wins this year. I was watching the DSB races from Saturday and S. Russell kept talking about how Herrins race craft has greatly improved from last year and how dangerous he's becoming. I don't really see it. Thoughts?

My comment contains spoiler information so if you haven't watch the race, skip it.

During yesterday's race, it was evident that Josh's R6 is a faster bike than Danny's bike. In all straighaways, Josh would pass Danny just to get his handed back to him on the brakes. That being said, I think Josh is on THE bike of the class, however, I also think that Danny is THE rider of the class. Although, Cory West and Dane Westby and Beuvier (sp) are right there too.

True. I'll agree with that 100%. Joshs' R6 has some SERIOUS straight line speed. He'll pull the GSXR just about anytime. I remember thinking Danny should be on an R6 last year, too.

I think Danny is THE rider of the class. Dane put on a good show in Saturdays race, too. I don't think anyone will out brake him.

Cameron Beaubier for being on a privateer R6 is really putting down the laps. He's always in the front train.

it'll be hard to beat DE on the brakes, Josh is hungry for the 1 plate and Cameron is a very strong competitor, even with Jake Holden racing backing him up, JH can't even get to the half way point of a race due to failures of some kind or crashing out.

Yeah. Holden was having sponsor issues and kept crashing. Now that Riders Discount is backing him, he might be able to at least make it to the races. He starts folding up bikes again, it might be a different story.

Cameron is strong and ready for a win, but I don't think he's got the bike. Every time he's been up front it's come from an aggressive move, only to get his handed back to him. A front runner? For sure. Racer winner? Maybe not yet.

Josh wants the #1 plate BAD and when the end draws near and and the points get close, I'm wondering how dirty him and Danny will play. We've already seen that Danny will away the #1 plate to stick it in Herrins . LOL.

DE had a shot at riding a yosh bike and wasn't able to put in a good run. So maybe he feels his fatory chances are gone. I didn't understand why he misplaced his focus last year. His team sure would have loved to have that plate I imagine. Dude can ride though. I like to see JH's hanging off style though. DSB races are the best we see in the AMA.

You talking about SuperBikes?

If so, maybe he feels like he's not ready or just likes the 600's.

We all saw how hard of a time Martine had at the beginning of the year. He's starting to come up now, though. I'm sure in 2012 he'll be dicing it up with Young, Hayes and Hayden.

Herrin is on my "Dont Like List".
He shares space with Max Biaggi, Dani Pedrosa, and ladyboy Stoner.

No, this was when yosh was running a factory 600 effort. He was seen as the future suzuki guy, but hit a bad run just when his time came

Don't have much of an opinion of him as a person.

He's a racer, though. I like a guy who can win in the rain like at Miller.

Also, he's hands down the most exciting guy to watch with 2 laps to go: nips Eslick on the last turn at Barber, goes crazy loose in Race 1 at Mid-Ohio finishing 2nd to Westby, and was turning himself inside out and willing to blow a sure second in trying to get by Eslick in Race 2.

Even if you hate him, he's helping to make DSB the most exciting series to watch this year.

image means more here than racecraft! Something that Josh and his camp is surely working on. I don't see him as the same snob as last year but others may take a while to jump on his bandwagon. I hated him last year, this year, I am ok if he does well! Makes for good racing I dont think either DE or herrin will repeat last year. I think they highly respect each others skill level and have shown they dont mind racing in close quarters and will value a championship over a personal vendetta

more like look out for blake and the other yamaha JH to get into some words soon
