My favorites are WSS, WSBK, Moto2, BSB, MotoGP. 125 GP used to be the most awesomest races, EVAR! Not sure why they're relative snooze fests now.

Absolutely HATE AMA Snoozerbike racing. It's probably gotten better recently, but it was so bad a few years back that it's probably ruined me on it forever. That, and I don't have cable + speed to get it and the world can't be bothered to upload it to my favorite torrent site.

Isn't lawnmower racing what NASCAR is? LOL

Watching 125 is pretty badass I agree. Some of the fast guys there are only 15 to 16 years old. It would be nice I the US would have more sponsored national level club racing like they do in Europe. They have a huge biking culture there and encourage motorcycle racing.

It has DEFINITELY gotten better! I had stopped watching/paying attention to AMA racing after DMG took over and most of the big, factory teams pulled out, but this year there's been some EPIC racing, especially the Daytona Sportbike class. I don't think there's been a single race where 5-6 guys weren't fighting for the lead, the entire race. And, not just 5 or 6 guys riding in a tight group with a couple passes during the race, I'm talking about multiple passes and lead changes almost every single lap.

I still like motogp, just because it's the top of the top, but it's been a little boring lately. It might be a little more exciting if they would show the battles going on a little further down the standings, but instead they show the top two or three guys (who are usually separated by 5+ seconds) ride around by themselves. Also, there's been multiple times this season where ben or nicky were having a really close race with someone down in 4th, 5th, or 6th place on the final lap, and they cut away from the action to show stoner cross the line 10+ seconds ahead of 2nd place.

I'd have to go with WSBK, for the mix of level of riders, number of different manufacturers that have a chance to win on any given race, and the overall closeness of the races. There was a race this year with 7 different manufacturers in the top 7 finishes.

MotoGP it seems always has the top 2 or 3 run away and they are always the same guys. When you are lapping people regularly and starting the grid with everyone in the points, its not as entertaining, but they are the best riders in the world.

AMA has turned a little too much into NASCAR for me. I think they are changing some of that back from what I understand, and I will probably get back into it, but right now I really don't watch.

I actually like the AMA commentators. I'm probably one of the few though. I like Scott Russell.

I think Scott is ace.........as a rider. As a commentator he's kinda bland. Every time i hear "pull the trigger" I just want to yell at the TV. LOL. It is cool that KTM decided to join for a few races. They're having a pretty good showing as well. Just wish Honda would join back in and Aprilia was there. I do remember hearing the commentator talk about the diversity of the 600 class saying the rules allowed 600cc inlines, 848 V-Twins and would allow the Aprilia in the same class. Really?!? A 1000cc V-Four would be allowed with the 600 guys? This year is better than the previous years but still enjoy the world class races more.

^^^ Well, two years ago an 1125 bike was running in the same grid as the 600.

That KTM looked sweet. When I heard, I was hoping they would let Ty Howard ride it.

I think the Aprilia Mille (1000cc twin) is legal for DSB, but not the new RSV4.

I wish they aired the supersport races as well...Dustin Dominguez is looking good on that 675 Triumph!

I think he's referring to Daytona Sportbike when he says "AMA supersport". They don't do much to televise the actualy supersport class anyway.

Hehe, factory teams are what I hated about the AMA. (and production based racing orgs in general) Leave the factory teams for MotoGP.

Same few factory guys every race, but 30+ rider fields yet even the television coverage stopped introducing riders down to p6.. Coz' that's all the factory riders there were..

So many of the little things that I also hated about AMA. Racing should be a spectacle of performance, action and presentation.

p7 - 30+ couldn't compete. They were just riding their superstock machines anyway.

of the 6 factory riders.. 1 guy usually got a way at the front. Who cares after that. Coverage just followed him anyway.. Again, nobody cared about 7+ anyway.

Presentation.. those factory bikes made to look as stock as possible. I get the whole, 'race on Sunday, sell on Monday', thing, (though it's really Tuesday in the moto world ), but c'mon! Lack of sponsorship aside, really? You're going to take a badass superbike and paint it too look stock and just put a few sponsor stickers on it? UGH! So ugly.

Tracks.. a big professional series and you're riding around orange pylon cones? What kind of Micky Mouse operation were they running?

I can't blame the AMA entirely for some of these things.. It's just part of the car based American racing mentality that we don't have the infrastructure needed to support a good motorcycle racing series.

Not wanting to just be a whiner, I actually came up with my own series (obviously never followed through) but it's something that I would want to watch and hopefully others would too. It'd be a tough pill to swallow for some of the old stalwarts though. Oh well.

I love Moto GP but their grid size is a joke. I hope next year will be better with the bigger engines and new teams.
