Back on two...after a year and a half.

It feels good to be back on two...especially since I have a new house to garage it. Pictures are from when I first got it, chicken strips are gone.

I'm no V. Rossi, but I do find it funny looking at the chicken strips of bikes that I see on the road.

The chicken strip is the amount of tire that has not been rubbed by concrete...the larger the area, the more "chicken" a rider is perceived.

you see the area near the edge of the tire that is untouched??? its because the bike wasn't leaned over at an aggressive angle.

8161d1172881124 chicken stripes whats deal strips

this tire has been leaned to the edge of the tire at a more aggressive angle, hence the whole tire surface is rubbed on the concrete.

Back on two...after a year and a half.

So... chicken, as in, "you're too chicken to lean through the damned corner", instead of, "you have a pair of chicken wings painted on your motorcycle".

Okay. Thank gawd.

lol, now thats refreshing. you must be a new rider. I remember when I first started riding, the first person I met was Chris..the owner of this website. I'll let him finish the story.

but in any case, this website will get a lot of questions answered for you. there are a lot of good guys on this site.

Actually, sadly, I kinda know more than I should.
I have been salivating over the idea of getting a motorcycle for almost 3 years now... But I've just started at a job where I make enough to be able to save up for one. So, for the past three years... I've just been on the internet, learning about motorcycles. And trying to fit into the motorcycle community, with no motorcycle.

What's had you off two wheels for a year and a half, anyway?

In the past, I just got bored of riding, and felt it was time to step away for a bit.

I'm sure that i'll get that way again sometime in the future. I just dont want a bike sitting unused. Rather have the cash to play with the stock market.
