Greetings from Austin!

Hello All!

Relocating to Houston and would like to get the scoop on good places to ride. Planning to move to the West U area of town. Have riden within the loop several times and the roads suck. Would like to know if there are any good rides in town, as well as coastal or lake rides.

Looking forward to meeting some of the group and seeing what Houston riding has to offer.

San Marcos here, about 30 miles south of Austin on I-35. there are great roads all around the city, just leave the city and you'll find them!

From Houston, you'll have to ride west on 290 for about 2 hours before you hit any really good roads.

j/k

We've got the national forest area up in the north west.
Some decent riding up there.
There's also some good riding up north east around Lake Livingston.

Racers road in Brookshire is always fun. Crabb River Rd in the southwest area is awesome too. As long as your willing to ride out of town.
