SV650s Rider: Hello

Hi,

My name is Trey and I moved to Houston yesterday. I purchased my second SV650s today and the guy I bought it from told me he had helped start an SV Riding group here in Houston. So if anyone can help me get in contact with them I would appreciate it! Thanks.

Welcome fellow SV rider!

I've never heard of an SV group per se but there are plenty of SV riders in Houston.

Well it is nice to meet you guys. As soon as I get the legalities worked out on this bike we will have to link up and go for a ride. I started riding a 2003 SV650s last year so I have some practice but I can always use tips.

trumindgame how you like that SV1000? Everyone I know that has owned one has loved it but too much power for a new guy like me!

power is sweet! i bought it new as a new rider also, have just over 23k miles on it now. I hate how many bolts i lose, i lost every single one that holds my belly fairing, one whole frame slider, a tank bolt.... just jumps off the bike i feel. I just put some spools on the swingarm and will prob lose those in a 1k miles...

but love the feel up to 90 mphs, anything over that i wish i had an inline engine. also in the city the 1000 is a lil rough in going through stop/go light traffic a little too grunty..

I have a custom SV650. I absolutely love my bike. Good choice.

I am a member on here: http://forum.svrider.com/

It has great information about your bike, but it's not local.

Isn't the 650 Army a group for SV's and ninja 650's?
Haven't seen them post any rides in a while.
Too bad cause I'd be down now that I got me one.
