Need Help Please!

I have a friend that is selling his 99 R6. Its carburated when the motor was in there but due to a nitrous backfire it was destroyed and has been ripped out. I was going to buy it and stuff a fuel injected R6 or R1 motor from another bike inside. Has anyone ever done this or can it even be done? Any help is great.

PS.. dont really care how long it takes to build the bike, but I at least want to see if its even possible

You're gonna need a lot of wiring including an ECU. It's gonna be a ton of work for a 99

but is it possible to convert it from its carburated motor that was in there, to say a fuel injected motor from like a 01 to 03. I want to finish the bike and ride it on the street because my 03 gsxr is going to become my track bike. Is there a shop in houston that i can call and see if they can do it or point me in the right direction
