colin is clearly a support role to rossi plane and simple. ROSSI chose colin. Honda doesn't have such roles they like to play. they want to championship contenders on both bikes. quite simply put nicky should have known this and never should hav eresigned oh well. also dani had a minut chance but it was a chance at that and he like i would have took it[/SIZE]. racing incident plain and simple. should not have happened but dani was racing for HIS own championship too. nicky fans have their blinders on for sure. dani was wrong but he had his own battle to fight

oops. i pressed the wrong button instead of the Quote one.

I think this says it all (from crash.net)...............

".....exactly one lap after Hayden has passed Pedrosa, the young Spaniard launched his RCV back up the inside of the #69 - aiming for a non-existent space - in a desperate attempt to retake third into the long left hander. Considering what was at stake, and the distance he was behind his team-mate approaching the turn, the move was nothing less than sheer lunacy. As Hayden turned in to the corner, the out of control Pedrosa lost the front of RCV, fell to the floor, then slammed straight into the side of the American - sending them both cartwheeling into the gravel.

A moment of stunned silence descended on the paddock as it tried to absorb what had just happened - Hayden, who has finished every other race this season, immediately rushed back to his broken bike to try and rejoin, but the damage was too great and all the apoplectic American could do was remove his helmet and scream in frustration while punching the ground with his fist. It must have taken every inch of Nicky's restraint to avoid inflicting similar blows on the young Spaniard, who appears to have broken a finger in the fall. It is no exaggeration to state that Pedrosa's moment of madness was one of the greatest mistakes ever seen in modern motorcycle grand prix racing..... "

Yep, team orders or not, taking out a team mate is the worst thing you can do.

It's complete lack of respect for a fellow racer. Rival or not, you have to have SOME common sense. Which to me means, if an opportunity to pass your championship leading teammate presents itself, take it. Do not force it.

I never have and never will agree with teams who have team orders. There is no point in racing.

Remember Gabor Talmacsi<sp?> in 125's last year? Team orders told him to stay behind Mika Kalio. Last lap he drafts past and wins! I don't blame him at all. He first victory, trying to build a career. If KTM doesn't resign him, he can't negotiate with another team and say, "well I COULD have won that race". hahaha

In the end KTM didn't resign him for that. They were . Mika lost the championship by about 6 points, and of course they blame Gabor for taking those points away BUT, Mika crashed out of the following race. So IMO he lost it himself.

Team Orders == teh suck!

do you honestly think he wanted to crash on purpose and took him out? so dani is supposed to lay low and lose the little chance he had to finish maybe in the top 3 his first year in GP?

IMO Dani is the better driver and Hayden should have let him pass. let someone who will be a power house get a head start and gain more experience to take out rossi next year.

yes sir. as long as my boss tells me there's no team orders I'm going for the win.

hmm......better driver/rider?? I dunno that, but to let him pass?? c;mon Arturo, first, if there's passing, is the guy behind that's reponsible for making a 'safe' pass, the guy in front has no rear view mirrors, therefore, he can't see the little midget in the bike behind him. and even if he did, this is racing, letting someone else pass is just whack.

Well if Pedrosa were the better rider then he would be leading the points, but he isn't. He may be better in the future but he isn't right now. The biggest difference is one word, consistency. Hayden has it, Pedrosa doesn't.

If Dani was the better rider then he should have had no problem overtaking Nicky. But he isn't better, so he went into a corner hot headed and hoping he could cut inside and lost the front. You don't always have to be the best rider, its about consistency. Roberts JR shown that.

^ that should be fun!! but then, what would Dorna do? fine Pedrosa? they would say" oh well, this is racing, happens" but when it happens to someone wih a smuch leverage as Vale, things can get ugly.
