Im telling you, this cat had made it less than 10 feet in front of me when he decided to park. Pretty much only one option at triple digit speeds. I mean come on. How the am I gonna end someone on the exit of a turn when your SUPPOSED to be accelerating. And needless to say after making his super awsome pass he should have been putting land on me being that he was on a 1k. Im just sayin.
I bet those 3 riders took it in stride unlike you because rubbing's racing. In a trackday, there are no assumptions. Defense defense defense are the hard rules. With a solid defense, there is always an out.

Hey, I'm going to go ahead and backpeddle out of this stupid argument because... hey... I don't know much. I'm merely a faster novice/slower intermediate rider with very little track experience. Heck, my knee is still a virgin. Just trying to learn and play out various scenarios in my head. I want to further my skills with a progressive attitude.

I will say this about me choosing the literbike at this stage in my trackday riding career... I'm not riding it to blow anyone out of the straights. I'm riding it because I feel they're more forgiving in the corners. I am sure there are many other literbike riders who feel the same way that I do. There is no false "400cc bigger" set of on me.

You are brave. Guess you would be more disciplined with your throttle control on a 1000. May be able to hop on a 600 some day and shred. I would be affraid to ride a 1000 like I ride a 6. Just watch those high sides tho. No fun.

More midrange power. I don't have to keep the RPMs as high to catapult out of the corner properly. Keep me focused on learning my lines instead of being worried about bouncing the rev limiter. There are a lot of things that need to go right to successfully exit a corner.

I had an 08 gixxer 1k that had the A,B,C modes on it. I only tried it once when I first got the bike then never fooled with it again. Would be handy for your situation I think. I dont think they had that on the 06 models. Or did they?

Not that I'm aware of.

I'm no stranger to the big boys though. I have been riding them for a long time. This is just my first attempt at the track. A definite whole different animal.

I wont touch a 600 when it comes to street but when it comes to track, I wont touch a 1k. Im content with what I can do on a 600. 1k would only get me hurt.

If NewRider would bring his sister to the track we can all stay busy rear ending her.

I might come to Cedar Creek as a spectator. I have seen that place while floating down the river a couple times. I don't think its as new as the organization claims it is. Its pretty cool looking...

I once owned a '96 600 Katana for all of two weeks before selling it for a $1200 loss. I wanted it gone THAT fast.
