whats a good track bike for tall people?

Hey so im looking at getting into track riding more often. SO im looking at getting a track bike. I been riding a sv1000s 2k7 for 23k miles and thats all im used to. Im asking for some recommendations for a track bike, im 6'5 and 265lbs. I love my sv but not sure if its worth converting to a track bike any suggestions?

GSXR's. I am 6"5' too.

I have rode, on the track, 08 zx10, 05 R6, 08 1000rr, 06 1000rr, 07 GSXR 750 and now an 08 GSXR 1000. The GSXR's are much more comfortable.

I track my sv 1k, small ammount of mods. great track bike. I actually got better times on the sv than my gsxr...passing a 600 on straights isnt hard but you have to just out ride the guys on 750's and 1000's, little track time and learning, and you'll be fine

Definitely a gsxr. I have an 08. I'm 6'6" and 300. It has plently of room particularly with good aftermarket rearsets. I use the vortex. You really need to talk to some folks about the adjustment ranges. I've looked at a few alternatives, since the vortex are so hard on boots. I've not found one that appears to give as much room.

ok, i hear sv's are good on the track, so i would just need to change out the rear shock and front forks maybe gsxr forks? brake lines, then some race fairings? it seems this way might be cheaper also

Gsxr suspension (front, back) -1 +2 gear change, braided brake lines, your stock rear sets are fine....just remove the curb feelers.

How do I buy the suspensions? Like online or look for someone selling parts? I have a buddy that could do the work on it so I don't have to go to a shop.
If online any good websites?

I'm 6'4" and roll an 07 GSX-R750. Little rough on the knees but it's not like a Honda or anything. With after market rear sets there's a good deal more room.

You'll have to have the forks redone for your weight, no matter what you buy (unless you get them from Ohlins or Traxxion already setup)

Same thing with the shock

Not 100% sure on the SV but you'll most likely need the triples and the stem with the forks, and maybe a wheel.
