lets say for arguments sake, he was wearing a helmet (more than likely an open face, or soul cap) and still died. wonder what kind of spin would have been brought up. lets say he died from a broken neck, and not even related to the helmet.. Quite sure a helmet issue would still be played.

r.I.p. biker dude. you died doing what you love.

He loved making himself the posterchild for pro-helmet law makers everywhere?

Maybe his idiot buddies will go buy a lid now.

It feels good getting off a bike and not having to take off your helmet, gloves, jacket, kneepads, and boots. That being said, you better understand the risk

Troopers say Contos would have likely survived if he had been wearing a helmet.
I love these kinds of statements, as if the Trooper is an expert on head trauma and the efficacy of helmets in specific types of accidents. Maybe... maybe not.

I think it's colossally stupid to ride without a helmet. That said, it should not be the government's place to protect adults from themselves by imposing restrictions on their freedoms. Personal freedom includes the ability to make stupid decisions that place ONESELF at risk. The fact that he died riding a motorcycle without a helmet is testament to his foolish decision making regarding his personal safety. It does not negate the argument that it should be his decision to make.

I wouldn't even say this is ironic. Rather it's morbidly funny.

just try reverse psychology on them. Make a law required NOT to wear a helmet. Watch em wear it.
