Recommendation for shipping company?

Howdy,

I didn't turn up too much using the search engine, so I thought I'd ask on the General Discussion page. Can anyone recommend a shipping company? I'm having my Duc shipped from New Jersey and the best quote I have is $647.

I appreciate your feedback,

-Kevin-

Try Uship.com they bid on your transport and have choices. Good luck, did mine this way in 07 and it all was good.

I used them to ship my S3 from Fresno, Ca to Buna, Tx. It cost me roughly 600.

I have

So far the bids are ridiculously high ($750), but I assume they will come down a bit with time.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Plus one on the Uship. Got mybike at different time than promised (but I knew he was being overly ambitious), but was good. Price I paid beat going through shipping companies.

If you can give me the zip code I can work on some prices. I work for FedEx and a lot of us ship our bikes for vacation or if we buy one out state for cheap. ALL fluids have to be drained, but they will supply you with a large metal crate all you have to do is strap it down. Also they will not ship your house unless you pay extra. Had a co worker ship his goldwing and Harley from Colorado to Houston for 500.

That's the best price so far at $647. I've been quoted over $1K by a couple of companies. I'm in the wrong business!

Thank you for the help.

Dont just shop price though....be careful, cheap is not always cheap...consider all other aspects, insurance, ability to track shipment, type of trailer/truck, home delivery, etc...the last one I shipped at the beggining of the year was from NY to TX and it was close to $600.

I found a shipper on uship.com named HKAuto that is transporting the bike for $500. He has very positive feedback based out of Texas. I'll keep my fingers crossed and let y'all know how it turns out. Thank you for the information and I look forward to sharing pictures of my bike when it arrives.
