Anyone know if Speed will be replaying the race? Was the entire thing in the wet?

So Simoncelli has learned that the way to win is to push way past the limits, and hope everything holds together. Its just not working out so well at the premier level.
True but he's a slow learner, was the same on a 125,
then he clicks with it as he did the 250 and he's pretty special.

sad but true right now

I'd probably like him more if he cut his hair.

But to add to it, all the riders have taken someone out due to something. Thinking back to Rossi and Stoner at the beginning of the year. It's racing, happens. But after the Ped thing and the general over-aggressive nature of the dude you have to wonder if he falls into the "bad luck/stuff happens" crowd or the "that guy is fast, but he has to be dangerous and may take you out" crowd.

And just because he did well in the 250 class doesn't mean he's ready for race wins in MotoGP. Look at all the 250 guys in Moto2 that ran well in Moto250 and are struggling to compete.
and last years Moto2 champion is setting MotoGP alight (see Elias)
just messing, he was a pretty special 250 guy in his time too
I believe Spies was the first front running WSBK guy since Bayliss in 2006 to win a MotoGP race..............
250 is/was the feeder......
take the current aliens,
Rossi
Stoner
Pedrosa
Lorenzo
all 250 monsters!
Corner speed is the building block of 125 and 250 racing....
and absolutely essentail in the 800 era,
Spies is the exception to the rule although he has raced 125's I remember Jody H. saying

No way that's going to happen unless he injures himself.
As the old saying goes, it's easier to stop a fast guy crashing than getting a slow guy to go fast....
we'll see

Dunno about a replay, but entire race was DRY.

Track was dry but cold. Air temp was cold
Spies was on a mission and gapped the field by better than a second on the first lap and built from there.

Simi and Lorenzos accident didn't really affect the front 3 that much, from what I saw. They just didn't have the pace in the initial 3-4 laps and Ben was gone.
