ROLL CALL!!! @ TWS (Texas World Speedway) JULY 2/3

who's gonna be there? This will be my 4th/5th track days. I'll still be in the beginner level, but hopefully I'll get the okay from the instructors to move up to the B group.

Forecast calls for a high of 98* with a 10% chance of rain on Saturday and a high of 100* with a 30% chance of rain on Sunday. Hopefully the rain stays off the track during riding time! I know we need it, but I'd rather be riding!

I'll be on the bike in my avatar, not taped up

I'm planning on being there in B group but won't sign up till later that week.

FYI weather forecast more than 5 days out is highly inaccurate especially being so close to the gulf and giving our current weather situation.....

97* and 10% chance of rain both days now. Looks like it might be another small turn out with the lack of responses here.

LSTD. Are you going, Joe?

If I am up to speed on my studies, I may show up on Sunday. I could use the exercise.

You won't be disappointed. They won't hold your hand, unless you want them to.

Lots of track time, effecient clean up, no BS, hot chicks, and you can bring beer for the overnight stay. What's not to like?

Ride Smart & LSTD both are great organizations. LSTD is a little more expensive...and even more expensive if you want to get instruction. On the other side of things, there's less people (and usually less wrecks, so less down time too) which is nice because you get more open track. And if you do get instruction, you and one other person are paired with an instructor for the day. And last time I was out there...there were 4 ppl in the class. You can pass on the outside at anytime as long as its safe, where you have to wait for them to allow it in the beginner levels of ridesmart.

Ridesmart has free instruction, which is great. I know more people that ride with them, and there's more people in general so it's a little more fun in the paddocks for me personally since I know more people. And if you like passing people, there's more people to be passed in Ridesmart. And the prices are cheaper...especially if you want instruction.

I just got an email from Tom saying the Sunday track day was cancelled. That blows...I was really hoping to move up to level 2 on Sunday :(

Not to mention, this was going to be my last 2 track days until October :(
