TX Xtreme "Fall Season" Kickoff Cedar Creek July 16/17

ok, here is the property for next month. I think Otis decided to switch it up and is trying out a new property for the series. If you need a lift let me know....I'll try and accomodate if possible. I'll post more info as I get it!

New property for us. 30 minutes from Austin, Bastrop and San Marcos. Property is Hill Country terrain, trees, creeks, open runs, lots of single track. It got almost 2" of rain yesterday. There is a tank that we will be able to swim in, so bring your shorts and a tube to cool off in the water.

Course will be about 10 miles in length (give or take). This property is really nice. Flier will be out soon as will a pre race video!

location is W of Bastrop, SE of Austin, and NE of San Marcos....about 2.5 hours from Houston or 30 minutes from Austin. Camping will be in order more than likely....Bastrop State Park looks to be about 15 minutes from Cedar Creek (and only $17/night for water and electric hookups). I'm gonna look into reserving a hook up site....you're welcome to stay with me/us as always.

Here is the flyer with lat/lon coordinates listed.

What? No "E" class racing? ... thought maybe there was a class at my poor level of riding.

E class takes place on Saturdays I think....at worst, try the D class. You can only get better!!!!

Also, I reserved a hook up site for Fri and Sat Night....My wife is attending so one side of the camper is spoken for....Cliff will likely get the other side. I have room to sleep one or two more if needed.

^^^ Do the D Class. If James, Cliff and I go, that is what we are riding. It will be fun to ride as a group.

E class appears to be listed on the site....it's a 45 minute race for Beginner Adults that takes place on Saturday. I'd suggest the D class. You may not place at the top, but it will get you 5 hours or more of Saturday practice and then a race on Sunday.

Sorry buddy, I'm racing...not group riding!

Now my performance depends solely on what bike I am riding. If I 426 it during the practice, I will be dead for the race. If I run the 250f during the race, there's a high likelihood that I will DNF.

Decisions. Decisions.

I'm there in one half of the camper if you'd like to cuddle.

I would ASSUME that won't be a problem....I would contact Otis though for a response that isn't an assumption.

just leave a trail of breadcrumbs so I can find my way to the finish line. If I'm pushing the bike out, I can have something to eat as well.

How technical are these tracks? Christ... I fell half a dozen times in the muck on that trail we rode the other day.

Btw, anyone have an email for Chad @ the shop?

ALL races have a pre race video although elevation and speed can be hard to decipher when the camera catches 30/60/120 ft per second or whatever. When that becomes available I'll throw it up here on MH.

You'll have steeper inclines and declines than what we saw at Rio, but it won't be all cross rutted either. There will likely be some tight woods sections tighter than anything we rode also....come check it out. I guarantee you won't be dissappointed!

i need to check my schedule, whoop, the 17th, thats a gp race day get together viewing for the clan!! i have a special guest attending our party. i would love to race on saturday, E or D class. Irak, if you're in that would be excellent for saturdays event... sucks but i've planned our viewing for a while now and have invited a special guest to join our group. Technically, i am an E class rider so as long as i can join at the beginning of the season, there should be no complaints.

Yes, if I ride, it will be on Saturday. Let me check with the wife regarding the skydiving and I'll call you, James.
